Here are a small number of case studies for risks that we have managed in the last few years:
- Under-insurance: A client arranged their buildings coverage on a notional figure of £700,000 with a non-specialist insurer recommended by their Lawyer, the non-specialist policy contained a strict average (under-insurance) clause. The Chubb appraisal revealed that the rebuild cost was £1,200,000 meaning they were under-insured and could have lost over 40% of any claim.
- Policy Exclusions: A client was unaware of several exclusions their policy contained relating to visitation. They failed to realise that once their holiday home had not been occupied for more than 30 days they were subject to huge dilutions in cover.
- Risk Management: Upon moving his family to London a VIP client wanted a fire protection and intruder alarm system installed by a reputable company with minimum fuss. Quantum was able to introduce a partner firm that we have known for several years and provide technical input on the system design to maximise premium discounting.
